Will Smith Celebrates Mom’s 85th B-Day after Saying He Felt Guilty for Not Protecting Her from His Abusive Father

Will Smith, star of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” celebrated his mother’s birthday in style! Will and his mother spent the day dancing and documenting their moves on Instagram.
Caroline Bright, Will Smith’s mother, looked stunning with a white skirt with black embroidery around the hem and a white lace top. She wore black sandals with the dress, and her gorgeous gray hair complemented the ensemble well.

Gold rings, bracelets, earrings, and a necklace completed her ensemble. Smith, on the other hand, was dressed casually in a pink polo shirt with a white collar and sleeves, white khakis, and white sneakers.

The couple held hands as they danced wonderfully to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” in what seemed to be an outside patio (Who Loves Me).
The mother and son combo appeared to be having a good time, swaying to the music as spectators cheered. On Monday, Smith shared the video on Instagram with the caption:
“Today is 85 years old!” Mom-Mom, have a wonderful birthday. “Let’s dance our way to 100,” says the group.
DISCLOSING INFORMATION ABOUT HIS CHILDHOOD
The star of “I Am A Legend” has always been honest about his personal life. Despite this, in his recently released memoir, “Will,” the actor opens up about his most personal experiences, including childhood tragedies.
Smith’s life wasn’t always that glamorous, despite his current status as a global celebrity. He was so traumatized as a child that he nearly committed suicide.

Smith admits that he first considered suicide after his mother fled his abusive father. Smith claims he witnessed his father, Willard Carroll Smith Sr., abusing his mother as a child.
Smith’s mother, on the other hand, had had enough when he was 13 years old. She went to work like any other day, but she didn’t come home. Her absence was terrible, despite the fact that she was only a few blocks away.

He claims he was lonely and guilty to the point of contemplating suicide. Thoughts about his grandmother, on the other hand, saved him from going down the path of self-destruction.
Even after all these years, the star of “The Pursuit Of Happiness” is still haunted by guilt from his youth. He claims to be remorseful:
“For letting her down at that crucial moment. Because I didn’t stand up to my father. Because you’re a coward.”
Smith believes he became a comic and entertainer to impress his father in retrospect. He claims he believed his father would not harm them as long as he was pleased and laughing.
