Todd And Julie Chrisley Sentenced To 12 And 7 Years, Respectively, In Federal Bank Fraud And Tax Evasion Case

Todd and Julie Chrisley, the stars of the USA Network’s top-rated real series, “Chrisley Knows Best,” were sentenced to breif terms in federal jail on Monday for what eyewitness called a “15-year fraud spree.” Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in jail,
while Julie was sentenced to 7 years, as per WSB-TV in Atlanta. The duo were convicted in June of tax evasion and bank fraud. Eyewitness reportedly they used falsified documents to obtain $30 million in bank loans,and then defaulted on more than $20 million in debt when Todd Chrisley explained bankruptcy in 2012. They also concealed millions of dollars from the IRS that they had achieved from the show, the federal judge discover.
Federal eyewitness had questioned that Todd Chrisley be sentenced to 17-21 years, and that Julie face 10-12 years. In a sentencing memo, eyewitness wrote that the Chrisleys flaunted their wealth on their TV show at the time of stiffing creditors, adding service workers and a contractor who was not paid for work on the duo’s house.
“Todd and Julie Chrisley are career swindlers who have made a living by jumping from 1 fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors and evading taxes at every corner,” the eyewitness wrote.
“Their ’empire’ was made upon the backs of defrauded community banks that collapsed while Todd Chrisley used the theft money to fly to Los Angeles for bi-weekly haircuts.”The Chrisleys’ accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also learned on Monday to 3 years in jail for his role in the scheme. Tarantino was convicted of conspiring to defraud the IRS and filing wrong tax returns.
