Tank Pays Touching Tribute To Former Bosses Aaliyah & Ginuwine For What They Did For Him

R&B crooner, Tank, showed some serious love and gratitude to 2 people who jumpstarted his career- his ex TGT group member, Ginuwine, and the favorite Aaliyah. Most of us didn’t familiar who Tank was until 2001, when he dropped his hit solo,
“Baby I Deserve.” What numerous also didn’t familiar, is that he was in the music game well before that, thanks to Aaliyah and Ginuwine. Before Tank became a single artist, Ginuwine first put him on by including him as a background vocalist for his tour. This was when Ginuwine was at the height of his career and was damn near like the ‘2nd coming’ in the world of R&B. Aaliyah also supported Tank’s career. While on tour with Ginuwine, Tank told that Ginuwine let Aaliyah (who was also on that tour) hear Tank and the other background vocalist.
Aaliyah was instantly like ‘Oh you all gotta be my background vocalists for the tour too.’ She also featured Tank on her 1996 hit, “Come Over.” Those chances gave Tank’s music career a much needed boost at that time. That’s why he showed his eternal thankful to them on social media…We’re a lil’ tardy for the party with this one, but it’s better late than never. On August 25, 2017 -the 16th anniversary of Aaliyah’s untimely passing- Tank shared a heartfelt tribute to Aaliyah and also paid homage to Ginuwine for all they have done for him:
Without these two I don’t familiar where I’d be or even who I had be.. I wished we could all see forever but God had other decisions. She had to leave but she didn’t leave me by myself. She left me with an OG that’s been the Same Ol G from day 1! I love you both with all my heart and that love will live on forever!..
