MTV Will Investigate The Death Of Kenneka Jenkins In Spin-Off Series Of “True Life,” True Life Crime

A spin-off investigative series from MTV’s “True Life” franchise will examine the d’eath of 19-year-old #KennekaJenkins. The eight-episode documentary series “True Life C’rime” will follow award-winning journalist and MTV News host #DometiPongo as he looks into c’rimes against children.

The strange passing of Jenkins will be a part of one of those tales. Jenkins’ episode was described by MTV as follows: “Hours after appearing on Facebook live, 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins disappeared from a birthday celebration at a Chicago hotel.Her body was eventually discovered in a motel freezer the next day. Young people all throughout the nation searched social media for information as a result of the probe, which sparked a firestorm. How did Kenneka Jenkins fare? The series will also include six additional stories.

15-year-old #LesandroJuniorGuzmanFeliz is another case. Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, 15, who was ki’lled in 2018, will be the subject of the segment “Gang Target or Mistaken Identity,” which will examine his case.

Security camera footage of his murder went v’iral and gave rise to the #JusticeForJunior social media campaign. Jerika Binks, Mujey Dumbuya, Kedarie Johnson, and other individuals are among the remaining cases. The show will debut on MTV and VH1 on January 8, 2020, at 9 p.m.

Jenkins’ death, which occurred on September 10, 2017, in Rosemont, Illinois, is still a p’ainful reminder. Her body was found in the freezer of the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center. After Jenkins went missing.while attending a hotel birthday celebration with pals, his family and friends immediately began a vigorous 24-hour search for him. The Rosemont Police Department published a distressing security video showing Jenkins s’trolling the hotel halls alone and seemed disoriented as the case gained more national attention.

She is seen wandering through the hotel kitchen in one of the final frames, but she is not seen going into the freezer. Jenkins d’ied of hypothermia, and police ultimately declared it to be an accident, although numerous theories claim that f’oul play had a role in her demise.

Jenkins’ family s’ued the hotel for $50 million for wrongful death last year, adding a restaurant and a private security firm as co-defendants.
